It is no secret that Maryland loves their crabs, Natty Boh, and Ravens football. With the football season quickly approaching, you see the sea of purple all over town. We surveyed our participants about their excitement for the upcoming season. Almost 1,500 Marylanders chimed in with their take on what to expect this season.
Clearly Sunday @ 1:00 is the time for football viewing with our survey participants; however, many will watch football whenever available.
It would appear many fans prefer other locations to view the game with about 50% of our participants planning on attending one game and about 40% will attend 2-4 games.
Over 60% of football fans in Maryland prefer to sit at home and watch the game. Whether they are ordering pizza, or having people over for game day fun, they prefer the comfort of their own couch.
When Marylanders do venture out to the games, over half of them will drive themselves and park rather than take public transportation.
Justin Tucker and Terrell Suggs are arguably the most popular Ravens players. Royal Farms seems to think Justin Tucker is popular as well, as he has appeared in a few Royal Farms commercials.
Although Marylanders will stand behind their team, less than 20% see a Super Bowl Championship in our future this season. A little more optimistic, about 50% of fans believe in at least a winning record.
Ravens fans certainly feel the Ravens vs Steelers rivalry is the best in the NFL. This rivalry makes for an edge of your seat game every time they meet on the field.
Fantasy or reality? About 1/3 of our panel is enjoying their fantasy football almost as much as the real deal.
