Central location testing (CLT) creates an ideal environment for a range of different product testing scenarios. It offers the opportunity to gather a large number of focus group participants into a neutral location that is devoid of external stimuli. CLTs are a practical method of survey implementation that can increase survey completion.
While online testing continues to grow in popularity, central location testing provides a method to gather face-to-face data from participants. At Observation Baltimore, we are proud to provide a large, state-of-the-art CLT room that can accommodate up to 50 respondents. Our CLT lab is also conveniently outfitted with a commercial kitchen that is perfect for taste test research. Our 3 spacious suites are each equipped with flat-panel remote observation, focus vision and geographically themed client lounges.
CLTs are ideal for new or modified products being brought to market and can also be used to test packaging and advertising materials. Hands-on interaction with a product can be effectively researched using CLTs. CLTs use a variety of research techniques, including traditional qualitative and quantitative methods as well as more modern techniques like eye-tracking and image recall testing. Central location tests are perfect for especially long and difficult surveys as the proctor or moderator helps to ensure that a large number of participants respond to all questions adequately. Participants are more likely to respond with the detailed information your company needs participating in CLTs compared to at-home testing.
