Baltimore is the place to be, hon – take a look at last week’s blog post, which features it as one of the best cities to conduct market research in if you don’t believe us. Here are a few hot topics buzzing around town lately that make us proud to have a market research facility in Baltimore.
O-oh, Say Can you See?
Batter up, boys, because baseball season is starting this week: the Orioles will celebrate opening day in Tampa. We’re excited for a sunny start to what will hopefully be another successful year for the Orioles.
Cleanup, Clean up…
Everybody do their share. On April 20th, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has planned a city-wide cleaning, in which residents of Baltimore can sign up to participate in cleaning sidewalks, gutters, storm drains, yards, alleys, and the like. To sign up for a little spring cleaning, call 311 to schedule your group and reserve equipment for the big day.
Feed your need for great stories on the big screen at the Maryland Film Festival, which takes place during the first weekend of May in downtown Baltimore at several screening venues, including the Charles Theater. With a variety of film types, the festival features some of the best film and video work from around the world, with filmmakers present to discuss their work.
Race to the Finish
Get your wide-brimmed hats ready, because the Preakness returns to Baltimore on May 18th, featuring live performances and racehorses clamoring for the win. This year marks the 138th anniversary of the Preakness, to be held at the Pimlico Race Course.
Construction is slated to begin soon on Under Armour’s proposed visitor center in Baltimore, which will act as a meeting place and reception area for guests. Included in the plan is a skywalk that will connect the two Under Armour office spaces.
